‘Dr.Shikha Srivastava, Advisor Technical Services, PSI India is an Obstetrician & Gynecologist with over 25 years of clinical and training experience in the public sector and having lead implementation of various clinical training programs including at Engender Health. Lead programs in Health System development Project of World Bank. Prime technical lead for the team of medical services staff under various PSI’s project including Women’s Health Project, Gates funded EAQ Project and Cervical Cancer prevention project in UP. Responsible to provide high quality clinical inputs in the areas of maternal health, family planning, safe abortion, post-abortion care STI/RTI and NCD prevention including cervical cancer. Key member of the country office and provides strategic inputs to PSI/India programs for improved health impact. Provides technical support in advocacy and builds partnerships with technical organizations like FOGSI (Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India), IMA, academic Institutions, PPIUCD training centers, State & National Government, donor agencies and other development partners. Active member of FOGSI. Actively supported in development of curriculum/guidelines for various clinical subjects including IUCD/sterilization services, Hormonal contraceptives, Injectable contraceptives, infection prevention services, emergency obstetric care, skilled birth attendant trainings and cancer cervix prevention etc. Participated in various international and national conferences and presented posters/papers on family planning, maternal health and cervical cancer prevention. Received prestigious PSI President’s award on behalf of medical services and training team for achieving 95% scores in quality assessments in private sector women’s health program.
